Carlos Garcia
Carlos Garcia started his creative journey 30 years ago. His inspiration... his Cuban father's love of photography. As the family immigrated to the USA and settled in Miami, Carlos worked assisting his father. "The camera just spoke to me, all the buttons and settings were natural, and I had a relationship with it." This was the beginning. Commercial photography gave him the creative latitude and challenges he desired. "As an artist the challenges are where your breakthrough and victories are. Working with clients to accomplish their vision just gives me air." In 2009 a new opportunity was presented, one of his clients wanted Carlos to produce their corporate video. This opened more avenues for Carlos’ creative outflow as he stepped into video production.
Lighting with a purpose is his signature. "If I want the audience to believe my image, I need to place them there. Lighting emotes feelings, time, and place. It's a very powerful tool, and I have the utmost respect for it." In his continual desire for new paths of inspiration Carlos has added travel photography to his art.
